About the Writer
My name is Reece Goodson and my pronouns are he/him. I am a junior at Rutgers University New Brunswick majoring in Art History with a deep passion for contemporary art. Growing up in the New York Tri-State area, I have had the fortune of engaging with incredible art and equally incredible art institutions from my beginning. I am pursuing a career in curating and art journalism, and I currently work as a gallery attendee at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University.
I started ArtVitalist with the desire to establish an online space where I have the freedom to discuss current events within the art world as frequently as I desire, without having to wait for clearance and publication from external parties. ArtVitalist covers numerable avenues, including -but not limited to- exhibition reviews, artist and curator interviews, must-sees, and op-eds.
Aside from my studies, I am also a writer for Rutgers Review, the arts and culture magazine of Rutgers University. You can access my “RR” articles at their own designated section listed above.
Should anything I cover leave you with further questions, or may you wish to send me recommendations for future pieces, please feel welcome to contact me using the form below. Stay vital!
